SUPPLEMENTAL RULE GUIDE

FREE KICKS

All kicks are INDIRECT as required per OSA rules.

GOALKEEPER

A goalkeeper may go over half.
After handling the ball, the goal keeper may play the ball with their feet inside the penalty area.
If the goal keeper throws the ball it must be in an underhand motion only.
A goalie is allowed to take a penalty kick.
Goalies may only be changed at half time or under unusual circumstances. (Ref to be advised)

START OF PLAY

Games to start and complete at scheduled time. If a team is late showing up (within the 5 minute grace period), their game will be shortened accordingly. Note, after 5 minute grace period the game is defaulted.

CLOTHING

Players must wear either dark soccer shorts (preferred) or dark track pants. If wearing track pants, players must still wear socks and shin pads. Both shorts and track pants must not have zippers or other metal parts.

EQUIPMENT

An outdoor soccer ball must be used. No indoor balls are to be used in the SPI facility.

PENALTY KICKS

Ball is in play once the kicker touches the ball.

UNSPORTSMAN-LIKE CONDUCT

Deliberate damage to the dome by kicking, punching, or hitting, during the duration of the game is considered unsportsman-like conduct will be issued a card as deemed appropriate by the referee. If a player kicks the ball at the walls, or roof, a card will be issued as deemed appropriate by the referee.

PLAYER SUBSTITUTION

A player must be within one (1) metre of the bench area before another player can enter the field.

SCORING OF GOALS

Goals can be scored from the small crease.

U7 AND U9 DIVISIONS

These divisions will be playing on the one-third field.
Coaches for these divisions only are allowed on the field.
